Two reasons that cons are too ignorant and ****** to understand:
1) He is president of the US. That is his first concern, not Africa
2)If we don’t control H1N1 a hellava lot more than 2 million will die.

I guess he’s ‘racist’ against people who don’t live within his jurisdiction. He’s the President of the United States, not king of the world. Obviously he’s going to talk about what US citizens are concerned about more than what people on other continents are concerned about.
When the people have stripped the land of its wooded and grassy areas to plant farms, when the rains come the water has no where to go but the farm fields.
And then all kinds of water puddles develop causing the mosquitoes to breed in those puddles, spreading the disease.
If the country wasn’t so jacked up with guerrillas and rampant militias, maybe some form of agriculture could develop and the disease could be more efficiently handled.
There are great organizations out there who are doing outstanding work in the field of Malaria Nonproliferation such as PSI. I’ve visited many southern Sahara countries where this work is saving lives. So I do not believe that people are being forgotten. Actually it’s a great example of Public/Private cooperation that is effective in fighting decease and hunger.
H1N1 requires its own plan of action as it will not only effect the wealthiest of nations, it will also effect the least of nations. The US has already committed 10% of our H1N1 resources to assist other countries. Just another example of why we are the Greats Nation on earth. Therefore … I see no racism.
Malaria is prevalent in Central and South America as well as India and Southern China. Its also in Central Africa, but its not primarily a Black disease. The way you combat it is to get rid of the mosquitoes, something so vast that few countries could afford it. Much is known about malaria.
So no, he’s not ****** against Africans, as they also get H1N1.
But flu hits people all over the world, and its not got a way to be controlled yet.
Malaria has been a problem in the South too, and it was a very major problem for us when we built the Panama Canal.
In my opinion a mosquito net is a pathetic attempt at saving people from malaria. Are you supposed to wear it at all times? We used DDT in this country for 20 years and because somebody writes a book, it is deemed illegal. This is nothing more than population control like the pain pill for the lady that needed a pace maker.
DDT found in long term studies of those who worked with it on a daily basis to be safe.
Last time I checked, Obama was Perezident of the US, not Africa. The only reason he should care about Africa would be if he were African himself… Hey, you are one sneaky guy.
To give credit to Bush for once, he did do a lot to fight AIDS and Malaria in Africa.
