there are pills against it. you need to take them when you go to a foreign country that has malaria

Proper Sanitation, no standing water, and taking a large blue pill everyday while in a foreign country

well i went to costa rica for winter break. and there was a malaria risk. so you I had go to the doctor and get medication for it. and to minimize the risk, you can put on bug spray. but otherwise medication works the best, then mosquito netting and bug spray are good to have on hand. but its not 100% preventable.

Close your windows and just open them for 1 or 2 hours

Inherit a sickle gene that kills the parasite before its able to spread throughout the body. Inherit two of the gene and you end up with sickle cell anemia

Spraying insectisides to kill mosquitoes; sometimes malaria pills are used for residents, usually not year-round but during the peak malaria season if there is one.
