There are anti malaria drugs out there so you can see your doctor for these but, the best advice is to not get bitten by the mosquito’s that carry the disease.
These is what I’m told when I travel: get anti-malaria treatment (don’t get Lariam it causes psychosis); use mosquito repellent; mosquito nets; avoid wearing dark colors and blue, mosquitoes are attracted to these colors; and drink Gin and Tonic since the quinine in the tonic water is supposed to prevent malaria (I don’t know if it’s true but it sure tastes good). Good luck.

Please read the following page, great advice:
The main thing is to prevent mosquito bites at any cost. The mosquito that carries the parasite is the Anopheles.
You’ll find preventive treatments, medicines in that page above. No treatment gives you 100% protection
Me and my father has biggest fear from mosquitoes:
We use mosquito net every night.
Our Coolers are cleaned every day and we change water everyday.
