Only a blood test (microscopic ) as well as an examination by a dr can determine that…get to the dr as he/she is the only one that can diagnose and treat it if you have contracted the disease, or any thing else. Malaria is a parasitic blood disease that won;t go away by it self and is nothing to fool with.

No, it is not. But, be careful going in Greece in summer - they always have meningitis epidemic.

First go to the doctor because malaria is very serious and you can DIE from it if not treated… but have a thorough physical examination incase it is something else… the fyromians always have meningitis epidemic. Also did you have sexual relations with anyone while you were there? You may have caught one of their many sexual transmitted diseases since from my experience from business trips I aobserved many of their population use drugs and are generally unclean due to poor living condtions and caused failing economy and ethnic political struugles with their minorities. It is a miracle that the people have not yet revolted with all the conflicts going on there with their unstable government.

Malaria doesn’t not exist is Macedonia since 1950s.

To the Mad-one: In Macedonia there are only about 100 HIV positive persons, mostly caught that disease after summer holiday in Greece, Mykonos especially.
In Greece there are annual epidemics of meningitis, cause of poor level of social hygiene and bad habits.
And about the political situation - so many terrorist groups in Greece (left, rights), even Dora Bakoyannis husband was murdered and the assassin still is not find.

I doubt you have malaria. It might only be some food you’re not used to or a flu. Diarrhea is not associated with malaria, only intestinal parasites cause that, and if you’d really have it, you’d also suffer from convulsions, anemia and shivering. Anyway, go see a doctor for a checkup, there’s obviously something not right. But you can relax, you don’t have malaria.
