Population control

The only effective way to control mosquitoes ever in that part of the world has been the use of DDT. However, dead Africans is better than dead migratory birds so the UN banned DDT.

Most other solutions are failures because they require high tech, skills or are expensive which causes a problem in the African context.

My experience is that wherever you find water you will find moquitoes.DDT does not wipe them out.In Cabo Verde however some streams have been stocked with guppies eating the whole malariacarrying larvae away foor good.In jungles this happens naturally and you will find less Malaria but more other life-threatening things(worms, snakes, bats, etc…I am not joking)
Maybe sewers with stagnant (saline or not)water in them are the source in cities. It looks as if nothing wipes out the mosquitoes because they are still breeding in impossible places. They are becoming more and more resistant to all sorts of pollution so actually we are making them stronger. Our remedies are antimalaria drugs making them change their dna (the malaria) again there is no end in sight unless we come up with sewerloving fish.
