Malaria Treatment FAQ:
My teacher & I were discussing a condition (I don’t know if it’s a disorder, disease, faulty gene, etc.). He said if you look at the bones of people living in regions that have long been affected by malaria, this condition is passed down. It started with an “s” although it could be a “c” as in “cytoplasm.”

Well, the mutation that allows people who contract malaria to survive is called sickle cell anemia… but that doesn’t have anything to do with the bones, I don’t believe. It has to do with the malformation of red blood cells.
Other than that I have never heard of malaria affecting bones, much less affecting heredity. But I’ve posted a link below where you can read more about malaria.
I hope this helps at least somewhat.
