Well, Sickle cell anemia is MOSTLY passed along my African Americans being that you need two parents with the trait to have a serious condition of it. Africa being a country affected by Malaria would make sense then for them to have it.

there is sickle cell anemia with malaria always because malaria doesn’t affect sickle cells. People in those areas (mostly Africa) who are homozygous, or purebred die, because they have all sickle cells which kills them, or they have normal cells, which get affected by malaria and they die. The people who have both normal cells and sickle cells or heterozygous, or hybrid are the only one who can survive. So, sickle cells are the cure for malaria if you have normal cells with it.
