Malaria Treatment FAQ:

About every other health clinic around here acts like nobody has to work between the hours of 8-5 on Monday through Friday and I need some anti-malaria medicine, and would love to get some without having to miss work, so please tell me Minute Clinic will prescribe some for me if I ask.

Why not just call them and ask for your answer? Good luck and God Bless

Frelsun - There is no one “right” anti-malarial medicine. There are 4 main types of malaria that might infect people. All anti-malarials require a doctor’s prescription. The choice of medicine will depend upon where you are going and how long you will be staying. The medicine is not routinely stocked in every pharmacy. Contact your local county or city health clinic. They have a Yellow Book with detailed worldwide info and best anti-malarial medicines. Your doctor could phone in the prescription to the pharmacy for you. Act now as it may take a couple of days for the pharmacy to get the anti-malarial medicine best for you.
